Mixing Art Genres in one Room?

Would ask DH about this but he's working this morning...just after opinions really.

We have a large kitchen diner in a new build, units are grey rustic type, at one end of the kitchen (the dining end if you like) we have a large, long Banksy print canvas which is predominantly grey/beige which has to stay - we've had it forever and it has special meaning to me.

At the other end, there is a very obvious gap between units which is ripe for filling. Currently we have a chalkboard with the days of the week on which is an arse to keep up with and ends up with all sorts of crap being jotted on it by the DC.

My question is, if I were to put a Manet print there (one of the beautiful french cafe ones), would it be to much of a mix with the Banksy?

I do appreciate that this is very much a crap, non-important question at this time but any input gratefully received please. Smile

If it looks good to you, go ahead and think of it as eclectic. Smile

If it looks odd, can’t Banksy live in a different room/entry hall/stairs?

I would link them by using the same or similar frames. Otherwise, anything goes!
