Colours for a complicated room

We’ve had a lean to extension onto the side of a long narrow, dark lounge. There is a double sided fireplace between the old part and the new. The old will have lots of shelving and a very large dining table and I really want this in Hague blue because I like it and to give it an intimate feel. The windows and French doors (slightly by mistake) are painted in fb Savage ground. I’m not sure what to paint the lighter extension that ties the two colours together, though thinking the back wall would be Hague blue too. Also, what colour to go with for the ceiling and skirting boards. I’ve ordered sofas in teal and ochre. I’m going for a jewelled rather eclectic look Grin. I realise it might be tricky to get your head round so shall add a few photos below, though it looks a bit of a state as husband is still plastering it. Thanks for any thoughts

I'd do a mood board on Pintrest with the colours you have, the colours you like and then start adding other colours to see what works. If you're going jewel colours and dark blue and teal, you could add dark/bright yellow and deep pinks?

@SwedishEdith thanks for replying. I have done a mood board and included pink but it’s the subtle off white tones I struggle with.
