Wondering if it's possible to paste this Ikea map to a bedroom wall? It's a polypropylene map, with a matte textured finish on the back, and a slightly glossy printed surface.
I think it'll work fine, husband reckons not.
It's going to cover one entire wall of my DS1's room, down to bed level.

We're currently stripping the old anaglypta wallpaper and relining the walls.
What do you reckon?

You could try tweeting Ikea to ask. They've always been helpful when I've contacted them, and I bet people have asked the same before!

Fab idea, btw 🌍

Ooh good idea, thanks cygnets

I don't think it will stick to be honest. It's too heavy and not grippy enough.

VforVienetta · 29/04/2020 18:49

Perhaps I could pin it around the edges too?

Command strips are your friend here ...

Yes, Command strips will do the job perfectly.

Command strips look quite thick though? Wouldn't they leave the poster slightly raised away from the wall?

Wilkos and some proper brands have almost flat damage free strips you could use instead of command. I used some for my toddlers height chart :)

I'll have another Google, see what turns up! Thank you all 👍🏼

How about border adhesive? I remember it from the olden days but it might also be called overlap adhesive. It is quite thick and might take the extra weight.
