Help! Green Paint

I’m in the middle of re doing the hallway and want one wall at the end a dark green paint.
I was thinking a forest green but they’re either too dark (nearly black) or too bright!
I’m awkward, I know!Grin
I want something that’s a deep green but not too dark, any suggestions????

Yes! I've just been investigating this very brief.

My shortlist for testing are:

F&B Duck Green
Little Greene Puck
Dulux Woodland Fern 1 (darker) or 2 (lighter) - a bit trickier at the moment as it's a paint-mixing colour only but it's a really lovely colour.

Little Greene Hopper, too.

Ooh, thank you yippee will have a look at those.
I liked their fern 1 & 2, then we went into lockdown!

@shash1982 I’ve just used Little Greene’s Mid Azure Green in my bedroom.

Dulux emerald glade is absolutely lush. Just done my bedroom in it :)

YippieKayakOtherBuckets · 23/04/2020 19:27

@TattiePants that is beautiful!

TattiePants · 23/04/2020 19:47

Thanks @yippiekayakotherbuckets. The decorator didn't get finished in time so we finally got round to finishing it off at the weekend. I'm looking forward to a future shopping trip to buy some coordinating 'bits'.

Do the whole room! Dark colours actually make rooms look larger because you lose the edges.

shash1982 · 23/04/2020 21:56

I love that colour @tattiePants

I was thinking that StormBaby but it’s a largish hallway. The wall I wanted to paint is inside a kind of alcove at the end.

TattiePants how dark does that colour look in the evening?

B&Q Morning Melon

AllMixedUp76 · 23/04/2020 23:41

I'm with @Liland: emerald glade is lush!

TattiePants · 24/04/2020 08:14

It is dark but in a cosy way. It still looks green not black at night.

shash1982 · 24/04/2020 08:34

Thank you everyone. I’ve got a tester of emerald glade, going to see if I can order testers for little greene & have a look at morning melon (love that name!)

@TattiePants does Mid Azure have any blue in it to your eye? I've seen a few pics where it looks quite teal in some lights.

Purplewithred · 24/04/2020 09:06

Little green boringdon green in our sitting room is lovely, a dark sage though rather than very dark green.

shash1982 · 24/04/2020 09:15

Purplewithred I already have sage in another room (can see that I love greenGrin)

@YippieKayakOtherBuckets I started out planning a teal bedroom but I would say this is much more of a green than blue.
