Voile, roller or venetian blinds?

Help please! I've decorated one front bedroom and need to do the other, plus the living room. I have curtains in the decorated front bedroom but need something else on the window to reduce the light and for privacy - and am thinking that whatever I go with, I'll need to also do for the other bedroom and living room to make the house look consistent from the front. I don't know whether to go for basic voiles - effectively net curtains! - or voile roller blinds, or venetian blinds. Has anyone had voile roller blinds and do they look ok? Are voiles (nets) just really naff nowadays? - I can't believe I'm even considering them! Venetian blinds would possibly make the rooms too dark when closed and not block enough light when open? Any thoughts appreciated! Thanks.

We have Venetian blinds inside the window recess and then Roman blinds on the outside of the recess. Blocks out a good amount of light with both closed and I think looks less fussy than curtains.

We have voile roller blinds in the living room because otherwise it would be like living in a goldfish bowl due to passersby on the street staring in. You can see out from the inside but not in from the outside. They look fresh and clean and are much easier to care for than Venetians which gather a lot of dust.
