How can I decorate this bed for a boys room?

DS who is 3 has had this bed for over a year but now that he's a bit older I'd like to decorate it to make it more appealing for a boys room. I was thinking maybe painting it to make it look like a tree house?
I just need some inspiration, has anyone got any ideas? Thanks!

Paint it in his favourite colour?

It looks lovely, perfect for a three year old! I don't think you need to change it, maybe just brighten it up.

Maybe get some of those wall stickers in whatever he likes (flowers, dinosaurs, unicorns, football etc) and decorate with those.

I would decorate it in line with his personality, you know what he likes!

Treehouse sounds fab

Maybe some lights?

Also, how do you change the bedding?

Obviously they are different beds and on stilts but you get the idea..

Thanks for the replies, we've painted it green and varnished bits of it to give it a tree house feel. Changing the bedding is pretty straight forward actually but then again, I've worked in housekeeping so got a knack for changing awkward beds.

Just got the drawers to paint on the bottom next and then it's complete. My DS loves it.

I bought the bed second hand from someone locally but I think it is still around on the internet to buy. If you type in 'house bed' to Google I think you can find it.
