Hello

I need some new white bed sheets, ideally 600 thread count or higher. Plain white but possibly textured. Not sheeny!

Where should I look?? I've had JL and over time ALL the buttons came off the bottom and they haven't worn very well. Any other ideas?

TIA!

White Company? Although I think their quality has gone down over the years.

White Company or Secret Linen

I've got a couple of sets from Ikea, once specific line I can't remember what it was called..... I'm a bit of a bedding snob but I can't believe how good they are for the price - under £40... pure washed cotton type. Habitat sell similar.

Jasper Conran got mine in Debenhams but seems they are going to receivership

King of Cotton. I have this 600tc cotton bedding and although it's described as "sateen" it's not shiny at all, unlike cheaper, lower tc bedding sateen bedding I've previously had (from either JL or the Hotel range from House of Fraser).

@MrDarcysMa is it Blavinda from IKEA? I've got that set and really like it but it's grey/beige only!

I will have a look at the others, thanks all.

Look at pure linen bedding too. It's supposed to be very long lasting and lovely to sleep in.

@goldenpedant I just looked online and they look like the DVALA in white... they wash really well, I wash mine at 60/90 without any problems. Not smooth and sleek iyswim more linen/ thick cotton feeling, very cosy.

Laura Ashley.

Have a look on Brand Alley- they often have nice sheets

Barkingfuckingdogs · 07/04/2020 09:58

Laura Ashley have gone into administration.

I second Out of Eden.
I recently bought their Boston cotton seersucker duvet covers and they are lovely. Give it a good shake after washing, line dry and NO IRONING!
It's not 600 but we use a top sheet between us and duvet

"Laura Ashley have gone into administration"

You can still buy from their website and although they are all closed at the moment due to COVID-19 they will be retaining some of their stores.

Barkingfuckingdogs · 07/04/2020 22:18

Why would you risk buying from a store that has an administration announcement on their website though.
