Morning! We’re redecorating our hall. House is 60s but designed to look 40s.Previous owners were on a bit of a Victorian vibe and put up fake wall panelling etc (which I plan to take down)
Square hall, with the radiator directly in front of you when you walk in. It’s the first thing you see when you enter the house but I don’t think it can be moved. Currently covered by a fairly traditional box thing like this www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07XZJ34Z5?tag=mumsnetforu03-21
So.... what do I do? Happy to replace radiator but think trad cast iron wouldn’t look right? Too Victorian looking? Also not a fan of v modern flat ones. What do mid-century radiators look like? (Prob v ugly!!) I wouldn’t mind but it is SO visible. We have original teak woodblock on floor if that helps...
TIA x

Cover with a thin console table and mirror. Put something pretty on the table. More heat can escape than with a cover and the radiator will 'disappear'.
