I had my roller blind made to measure by Dunelm, and measured the inside of the recess

We feel there is a big gap on each side, or does it look ok to you?

There’s about 2cm gap on each side, which I appreciate might be to accommodate the fittings on each side, but it seems a lot.
How much gap do you have on each side of yours ?

I've got made to measure roman blinds from Dunelm. I had them made to fit outside the recess to avoid the issue you've got, the gap! You can't avoid it due to the fittings as you've said.

Was just about to say the same - to avoid the gap it needs to be fitted on the wall.

That was meant to say, I had used the tape measure inside of the recess from wall to wall as required by Dunelm.

I wanted it inside the recess rather than out with it being a roller blind, if that makes sense? I thought it would be more 1cm on each side rather
than 2cm.

@BigBairyHollocks Good, I feel better reading that. I wanted something simple really, as I plan to put an ornament on the window ledge.

One of mine fits so snugly in the recess that it was almost impossible to remove for painting the wall. There has to be a gap each side.
