Curtains and cupboard

Two things please.
First, if I paint my living room pale sage/willow wtf colour curtains do I get (plainish please. No shouty patterns)

Second. In my bedroom we have naff magnet built in cupboards. Do I get someone (a carpenter?) to replace the doors with plain wood I can paint to match walls (and hopefully make cupboards sort of invisible) OR am I screwed and i need to rip the whole lot out?

Curtains - I’d go for natural linen. Maybe slightly patterned like a herringbone. Ian Mankin has some nice options.

Cupboards - ideally need a picture. But if you’re happy with the layout and size of the cupboards then yes replacing the doors with mdf should be perfectly doable.

We managed to prise the plasticky front off ours and paint the mdf underneath. New handles and it looks great!
