Anyone have marble effect porcelain bathroom tiles?

We're redoing a bathroom and I've fallen in love with tiles that are marble effect and made of porcelain.
However the plumber says he can't drill his holes and I'm worried they'll be too sloppy.
It's for the kids bathroom so they won't be great at putting down mat (-"at least until somebody falls and breaks something!)
Has anyone put these down and can advise how they are please?
This is the showroom bathroom, and a pic of ours before it got taken out

I have marble effect wall tiles in my bathroom. Why wouldn't he be able to drill holes? And what for? We've got a shower valve and enclosure and soap dish screwed into it. It's just tile like any other so i don't see the problem?

Agree with @MonsteraCheeseplant - I've used marble effect tiles and the pattern on them doesn't change the characteristic of the tile. Not sure why your builder has an issue.
You can get matte tiles which might be less slippery.

It's because they're made of porcelain so he needs a special drill bit - that's not insurmountable I'll buy it. The holes are for the shower, basin, taps etc etc

They are in our en suite. Not very slippy.

We also have some wood effect tiles in the main bathroom which are perfect for DCs:

We have porcelain tiles, put up about ten years ago. It took a whole day and a handful of special drill bits, to put the bathroom cabinet up. Get advice before you buy them!

I wouldn’t put glossy tiles of any sort on a bathroom floor.

We have them in our en-suite and bathroom, builder drilled into them, but we have Matt on the floor, and honed and shiny on the walls.
