Flooring for sitting dinning room.

Hello, what flooring would work for a sitting dining room? With small children I don't want carpet under the dining table, but we find laminate slippery and cold. What other options are there? Thank you.

Most people would go for hard floor (wood or quickstep etc) with rugs.

Unfortunately the budget won't stretch to wood (although I would love I!), I will look up quickstep, thank you

I went for LVT and love it!

Also vote for lvt, eg Karndean / Amtico. If you're near Evesham take a trip to the Karndean design centre: it's got their whole range laid out and they are very helpful with no pressure.

I've seen Polyflor recommended on here lots too, although we have tried to get in touch with the company and their local rep has never returned our calls. We rang a few of the independent showrooms featured on their website only to be told that they ha d stopped selling Polyflor ages ago and keep asking to be taken off the website. It's only slightly cheaper than Karndean Knight Tile, so we just went with that in the end

Wood is cheaper than lvt online.

What is your budget? Some engineered wood floors are not that expensive.
