I'm seriously thinking about one of these for our new bathroom as we're a bit pushed for space and maybe this is the answer.

Does anyone have one and are you pleased with it?

I'm hoping it could be lovely for sitting reading in Smile

I am no help. I want one but husband has unequivocally said "no" (I don't really like baths whereas he loves them so I have to concede to him here).

Hi Restoration. We only have baths a few times a year but I'm hoping that'll change once we have a lovely new bathroom.

I was also the more enthusiastic of the two of us; my husband was focusing more on having a nice spacious walk-in shower and had even talked about getting rid of the bath all together but I hesitated to do that.

I took him to look at the tubs today and the woman in the showroom was great. We climbed in and out of six or seven of them and he was won over to the idea. They're so much deeper that although you sit more upright, the water is up to your shoulders so it should be lovely and warm I think.

I've been in a couple in Japan while on holiday and very much liked them so I think we'll probably go for it!

Where did you see them? I'm interested but don't know of anywhere to go & look at them.

We have the teeniest bathroom but I was determined to fit a bath, the only option was the square Omnitub which fills one end of the room. The helpful plumber friend who put it in convinced us to go for the double size....BIG mistake! Takes an age to fill, empties the hot water tank and is just too large. Big regret that we didn't get the smaller one, it is now a very expensive clothes airer receptacle and we use the walk-in shower in the other room instead.....

That's a shame Caro! And worth thinking about the volume of water supplied, definitely. I think our new boiler will cope OK but will chat to the plumber just to be sure.

Mustbe I'll PM you.

I had a square one in my old house. It was great for a soak but takes forever to fill, and you have to wash your hair as it's so steamy. But you can't lie back to wash your hair! The one I had, you couldn't read in very well as you had to hold the book very high. Lovely and warm though, the bath in my current house does not compare!
