Door handle shopping

If you had to replace the door knobs on the (White painted) internal doors in a 1920s house what would you choose? I’m going round in circles and getting nowhere! House has some original features which we will keep but will be generally updated.

Probably plain round knobs on a simple back plate, in a dull antique brass colour.
If you want something more glitzy then glass knobs would work too.

These are the original handles on our 1922 house but unfortunately they’re only on the upstairs doors. Downstairs had been replaced with horrible brass lever handles so we changed them to round wooden knobs on a circular backplate.

Wickes has some nice handles.

Do you think these would work?

I think it depends on your decor - the black might be a bit heavy.

OP I have those very handles. In all honesty I find them a pain in the arse. Not very grippy and you can't open them without a free hand like how you can give handles a nudge down with your butt

The handles on our doors are about shoulder height so no butt nudging anyway! A builder told me it’s because they’re the original 20s doors...

I think that style looks lovely but perhaps a full brass. I think on a white painted door it’s a bit stark.
