Hey I'm trying to turn a weird rather large space at the end of my hall into a utility/downstairs loo. I currently have my dryer down there. The wall is an external wall into my own passage way and is on the same wall that the washer is currently plumbed too so a plumber has said moving the washer to this spot should be no problem (same with plumbing a loo/basin). However I don't know if I can just add a door. Ideally I need to keep this cheap but not sure if hanging a door where there has never been one is beyond my skills. I've included a picture so you can understand the layout a little more. The blue is where the washer will go. The red is the tumble dryer and the orange is the loo. I want to put a door where the green is. I have a problem though in that the door will need something above it or it's going to look bizzarre but I'm not sure how to box it in? Would you go straight up or follow the line of the stairs so it's diagonal. Also can I put a door between stairs and a wall. The two lines poking off lead to the kitchen diner and the lounge.
