F&B Peignoir- anyone used?

I'm really disappointed by my tester pot! I wanted a pink-grey, which is exactly how Peignoir is described, but it looks lilac? Anyone used? Admittedly it's terrible light so I'll look again in the morning.

We have it in one room - really like it! Would describe it as more mushroom-y than lilac

Do you think if I had pink in the room- cushions etc- it would bring that out of it more? I just can't unsee the lilac 😭

I have it in our bedroom. I love it, it’s very calming. But even this morning my DD called it lilac and I said no it’s pink! I’ll try and find a photo. I’ve added a dusky pink velvet chair which I think makes it pinker IYKWIM!

Here is Peignoir on the walls. It’s very subtle I think?!

I have valspar colour matched peignoir in one room and dulux blush pink in the hallway. The peignoir looks lilac against the blush pink but looks pale pinky-grey when you’re in the room. It changes so much depending on the light! There’s a time lapse video showing it changing through the day on the f&b instagram page.

@bellylaughs Off topic, but I have the same shaped window as you. What curtain rail did you use to bend around the window? I'm in the process of doing up my room and am stumped as to what to do for a curtain rail. There was a really cheap plastic one there.

bellylaughs · 20/02/2020 16:12

@mineallmine
They are a nightmare aren’t they! I had to get a local curtain maker to make the curtains and she supplied the metal rail too. I think it was around £200 for the rail.

I have a pot of it, looks lilac to me too, not brave enough to put it on yet!

mineallmine · 20/02/2020 17:07

@bellylaughs Thanks. Not the answer I was hoping for, but thanks.

Bellylaugh's photos look like elephants breath. JaneDoe's look far more pink. Interesting!

F&B colours change so much depending on the light. Put samples on all the walls in the room to see what it looks like in brighter and shadier areas of the room.

We have Dulux colour matched to one of the farrow and ball whites, which looks pinkish grey in our east facing living room. It’s not such a strong colour as above though. Will look up which white it was...

CaptainWentworth · 21/02/2020 14:51

Great white!

VanillaSpiceCandle · 21/02/2020 19:04

I didn’t used Peignoir in the end as it had too much of a greyish/cool lavender tone. I’ve used Great White by Farrow & Ball and it’s really nice, more like a mink neutral but with a pink undertone. The colour matches from Johnstones and Dulux were terrible for it though unfortunately. Not bad colours but much darker and different tones.
