Please help me with ornament ideas for these window sills.

These two window sills on my stairs have been bare since we decorated several months ago, and I'd love for someone with a better eye than me to post links to suggested ornaments that I could buy online.

The walls are a silvery white, specifically Dulux Chiffon White 3 which they so goes well with rose, ivy and lime (see here), and the carpet is a silvery beige.

Left to my own devices I would probably play safe and go for some silvery, minimalist vases, but ideas for things with a bit more interest and colour would go down well too. Budget up to £100.

Leave the windowsills, put up roman blinds.

Show me one picture of a nice windowsill with ornaments on it.

Can you spend the money on blinds or a big light fitting instead.

You could put a plant or something at the top of the stairs like this

Only exception is glass. Big, bold splashes of colour. Nothing small or twee sat swamped on the sil.

There is also this too, they have cut a shelf out of the 2nd staircase, and put plants into it.

I definitely think plants are the way to go.

I'd add a big bright vase. Habitat have some nice ones. Needs to be bold and striking.
