I am losing my life to looking for new wallpaper / paints.

We have a very small front room / snug type room that really needs brightening up. Was originally browns / golds but moving into the 21st century I am wanting to modernise it. I have bought a grey couch and have a grey tiled floor.

Don't want to go cold and surgical and quite like glitz / bling.

Been B&Q, Laura Ashley, next and local wallpaper shop. Must have 20 samples pinned up and none are jumping at us.

Please please help!!

Not a living room but I just had this wallpaper (from Ilovewallpaper) with matching grey paint in my bedroom and I love it.
With light oak accessories

Thanks, your bedroom is lovely! These are the current options but as I said none are shouting out at me

I love bottom row second from right.
With grey floor and grey sofa do you think you need to go warmer/contrast with the wallpaper?

potbellend · 05/02/2020 21:35

Yes I was thinking that maybe I'm just going out o far with my he grey... what would you do?

I’d probably go with grey walls but a rich coloured wallpaper like teal or navy on one or two walls with a bit of ‘foiling’. Mustard/ochre is popular but I love orange with grey but it’s hard to match the tone.
Harlequin Momentum range have some lush papers. I like this one but it’s not for everyone!

We are too doing the lounge soon and struggling. Again it's been a brown room but it's dark and doesn't get much light. I'd hoped to go with grey but have been outvoted! We've ordered a teal coloured suite, just looking for wallpaper again now... It's so hard!

I'm in exactly the same position, our carpet is a beige colour, and we are wanting light grey sofas, have just painted the walls white 'timeless' but I just can't find a wallpaper that jumps out at me!

@Nearlyadoctor I absolutely love that wallpaper. I might go with that in my bedroom.
