Can't decide which colour to paint furniture

We are currently decorating our bedroom, we've gone for a navy blue wallpaper (see pics) on the feature wall, magnolia paint on the other walls, grey carpet & grey sleigh bed. We have pine wardrobes & bedside drawers, we are going to upcycle them as they are good quality, just not to our taste currently. We can't decide on wether to go cream or blue or maybe even slate grey??
I love the blue but my husband thinks it will make the room too dark! Our wardrobes are almost identical to the cream ones pictured but ours have mirrors on the top panel, of every door.
What's your opinions please?

Anyone?
An alternative option popped in my head this morning, paint the remaining 3 walls the same blue as the paper, then paint the furniture cream, would it be to much??
We have 3 double wardrobes that cover 1 wall, big window on another, I really think it could work!

Hmm, tricky. I have navy blue bedroom walls, but with oak furniture, and an off white carpet. Curtains and blind are also off white with navy blue detail. If it were mine, I think I would paint them cream, or maybe the same colour as the bed.

What colour is the pattern on the wallpaper.

Does your grey carpet and sleigh bed clash with the magnolia paint. Might be wrong but magnolia is quite yellow and often doesn't go with grey.

Depending on where the furniture is going in would use that to guide my paint choice. Wallpaper - prob go with grey but something that contrasts the wallpaper - so pale. Magnolia wall - I would prob repaint a pale grey/white and then choose a charcoal for the furniture.

Sorry if I seem a bit meh of the magnolia - think it can look a bit dated - probably like cornforth white (I have this) will look soon Grin if not already!

I would paint the wardrobes the same colour as the walls they are on.

@kmini its supposed to be navy & silver, but i'd say it's dark grey.
I've added a pic of the bed were getting, which is also a dark grey, the carpet we've ordered is a mid grey (not light or dark!?!).
When I say magnolia I don't specifically mean magnolia, it would just be a freshened up coat of our current colour, which is an off white/cream sort of colour (tins in the shed but I can check tomorrow)
I've added a rough mock up of our room, if it helps at all?

Oh impressed by your mock up skills!

All the colours sound quite 'cool' so I would try to keep that existing wall colour on the cool side of neutral if that makes sense?

Same goes for the furniture. Keep it cool but contrasting which ever wall (doesn't have to be a crazy contrast just to create interest and texture). Mixed era/ combinations of painted with wood can all work.

Does that help at all?
