Has anyone got these Coca Cola wallpapers?!

Love this wallpaper- except in the small print it says the Coca Cola logo is embossed randomly on the paper! Had anyone got this? How 'randomly' is it??

Or can anyone link me to a similar striped design, greens/creams/blues please?

My DH is a bit annoyed that I've shown him the existence of this. It's really irritating him.

@QueenOfTheFae @Aposterhasnoname @AmelieTaylor

You think that's weird! I'll just leave this here

@SageRosemary. She’s bonkers for sure! But I actually find one person having a Coca Cola obsession less weird than coke/a wallpaper company embossing the logo into ordinary wallpaper!

NextdoorNeighbourIsATwat · 12/01/2020 00:13

So so so weird

QueenOfTheFae · 12/01/2020 07:22

@SageRosemary wow!
I wonder if she went here

I've been, it's quite fun

QuillBill · 12/01/2020 10:00

Me too Amelie.

It’s less weird having a Coca-Cola house, that is only one room away from being Cork’s first Coca-Cola house than it is to have completely ordinary looking wallpaper that looks like it could be from B&Q with Coca-Cola stamped on it randomly

Jumpingforgin · 12/01/2020 10:05

Omg this is the most utter random thing ever. With you though op, a lovely wallpaper, but why the Coca-Cola logo!? Just emboss it on the very outer corner of each roll if absolutely necessary, and then at least it can be removed. So strange, as it doesn't add anything to the design... I don't think anyone coming into your home would ever notice it though... It would just be there driving YOU insane. Maybe order some samples. I'm tempted to tbh 😂

thenewaveragebear1983 · 12/01/2020 10:09

It's annoying because the wallpaper is exactly what I want and now I've looked at 17 million different wallpapers and can't find one I like as much-but Coca Cola have killed this one!

I'm dying to know if anyone in real life has ever intentionally used it. Clearly people have complained after purchasing as it's been added into the small print!

I've ordered a sample though!

It's like subliminal advertising!

CadburySpira · 13/01/2020 14:32

That is the weirdest thing I've ever heard of, I've been thinking of splashing out on proper high-end designer wallpaper and even they don't stamp their brand name all over the stuff!

SageRosemary · 13/01/2020 15:12

OP, if you don't like the sample when it arrives, can I suggest that you would take it to an independent shop and see what they recommend? Often we don't look beyond the internet but there can be fantastic wallpapers available in the shops our parents would have used. You will need to talk to a sales assistant because you can walk into a little shop and be faced with a hundred or more sample books. Often, the covers will have some floral sample you would never consider but inside there will be perfectly lovely coordinating strips and textured plains. Don't think wallpaper only shops, consider the shops that sell fabric for upholstery too, or a high end paint shop, even if they don't sell wallpaper they may recommend another business. Perhaps if you give a general location someone will recommend a little gem near you.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 13/01/2020 16:15

Thanks @SageRosemary, I'm in Worcestershire. I agree it's almost too many online, but virtually impossible to tell what they will be like in real life.
I've sent off for a lot of samples, but I'm also not averse to a nice paint either (leaving more in the budget for accessories). As always I'm trying to fit in around an existing item of furniture which I love, but then it limits what will work with it IYSWIM. Maybe if I take a photo to a wallpaper shop they might be able to suggest something although I fear my budget is not going to be enough (plus the fear of making a mess of putting up ££££ wallpaper!)

@CadburySpira I know. I can almost almost understand it if it was like Louis Vuitton or Ralph Lauren - someone with more money than sense would pay for that. But Coca Cola?!

OP posts:
LadyChatterleysHoover · 13/01/2020 16:34

This is truly strange

thenewaveragebear1983 · 16/01/2020 14:21

Update: the sample arrived and annoyingly it's bloody lovely wallpaper. Feels like thick fabric, lovely shimmer, colours are perfect. No sign of the logo on the A4 size sample either.

But alas. I cannot spend £40 a roll on themed wallpaper so its back to the drawing board...

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 16/01/2020 19:00

Its gorgeous but thats so odd!

QuillBill · 16/01/2020 20:46

I'm starting to think you should get it now.

AmelieTaylor · 16/01/2020 21:00

@thenewaveragebear1983
Always the bloidy way isn’t it!

If there’s not a single logo on an A4 piece, I wonder how frequent the repeat is?

Why not ask them what they have that’s similar without the —fucking stupid— logo on it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Blacksheepcat · 16/01/2020 22:10

WTF? Why would anyone want a Coca Cola brand name plastered on the walls of their house? So weird and so wrong. Please just find another nice striped wallpaper.

Secondsop · 20/01/2020 21:44

This is one of the randomest things I’ve ever seen. Tempted to order samples just for curiosity’s sake.

GeePipe · 20/01/2020 21:49

Against the grain but i like it even more now i know its so random.

BedStuy · 28/02/2020 16:25

Every so often I remember this and am baffled yet again

bimbimbap · 28/02/2020 16:27

i wonder if it’s subliminal advertising ...
