Shoe cabinet recommendations?

Hello, we've been using an Ikea HEMNES enclosed shoe cabinet for a few years in our hallway. It looks good but is driving us mad. Every few months the flimsy plastic hinges break (maybe because we overload the drawers slightly, but it still looks like a bad design flaw to me) and although Ikea send out replacements, we've had enough.

I can't find a decent alternative though. How do you store shoes neatly? I want them shut away. I don't mind spending a decent amount of money if it's on something well built which will last. The space is 90cm wide and it can be up to 2m tall. It does need to be able to take a good number of shoes - 25+ and preferably boots too.

Will consider any style including repurposed antiques.

Thank you!

You could use a billy bookcase with doors.
You could get one custom made.
You could look at bench type ones.
Don't forget space for your visitors' slippers. Smile

Do you have a staircase? We had drawers like this built in and they are amazing!

Thanks both!
Love the look of the understairs pull out drawers but unfortunately that won't work for us - we store paint in ours! And the stairs are separate from our hallway where we need to store shoes.

I hadn't thought of a bookcase with doors - if I could get one with sufficient internal shelves that could be a very good idea. And I didn't know Billy could come with doors. I'll have a look!
