My style/taste is quite bright, colourful and bold. I like lots of pops of colour and mixing contemporary with a more retro style.

We bought a large 4 bed Edwardian house last summer that needs everything doing to it. We managed to finish the front reception room just before Xmas (thank god as the rest of the house has nowhere decent for guests/family to sit).

I have lots of plans bubbling in my head for the rest of the house, but it's going to be a very long term project as we have run out of money already and so are doing a lot of it ourselves.

Just wondered if anyone else here shares my love of colour/retro/contemporary/eclectic style and if anyone has any inspiration/pics to share..I'd love to see them!

@DavetheCat2001 just wondering what colour curtains/blinds you're going for with the Dutch Orange. I'm having a total rethink of the lounge and considering LG Sunlight for the walls.

Hey @RestorationInsanity - we have a bright red roller blind that is going back in the room once it is finished.

The Dutch Orange room is going to be the kids playroom, and I am fashioning it on a kind of 'pop art', primary colours theme.

Once the floors have been sanded I have a bright coloured rug to go down, so it's either going to look super cool or like Mr Tumbles house!

Bathroom is looking splendid btw! Love the colour, very in keeping with the period.

Thank you! We're very pleased. Still a list of small finishing touches, and really can't wait for the windows. And then can start adding some really nice accessories and things over time! I'm glad we steered clear of grey/white walls. It's so lovely to see that purple!

Definitely one for colour here too. We are doing a lot of our renovation ourselves too, now needing to get trades in again for the next phase of work - replastering a room upstairs and new bathroom. I'm wavering about colours for the master bedroom, am very happy with LG pale lupin downstairs and LG slaked lime in the kitchen . Fancied LG Mambo for the bedroom as it's such a cheery blue and lovely against oak furniture. Could be a bit bold for all walls though. I've got about a billion LG tester pots so I think I need to get painting and make a decision!

We're working on the kids playroom..found this fab IKEA rug in a local charity shop which will deliver an additional burst of colour to the room Grin

How's it going @DavetheCat2001? The extension has started here and I'm not frantically trying to settle on colours for the various rooms. Current thinking is LG Tuscan Red for the dining room, with William Morris Golden Lily in Slate/Manila in the new little seating/garden room at the end of the dining room. The kitchen is going to be mainly neutral, but we're painting a built in dresser and new freestanding larder in either LG Basalt or Hick's Blue. Utility also neutral, but cloakroom is going to be LG Juniper Ash! The lounge is my biggest struggle, but currently thinking LG Sage Green.
