I will add pictures later but not home at the moment. I currently have a light grey carpet and dark grey sofa. Furniture, shelves, tables are white. The walls are currently a greige, which is more brown than grey and has disappointed me from the start!

The room is south facing and can be quite dark due to a too small window IMO. From the front door you can see into my living room and into my kitchen which is painted a medium grey.

I'm thinking of going a light farrow and ball/other luxury grey on the walls, just a bit darker than an off white. But I'm heavily drawn to the dark navy's and sage greens I am seeing a lot of, yet scared to commit to such a strong colour.

Can you show me your rooms with similar coloured furniture please?

We have wooden floors and mid-grey sofas, but the rest of the furniture is white and we have got F&B oval room blue on the walls.
It's lovely and cosy now in winter and lots brighter in summer. That could work for you?

Can't help (sorry!) - but very interested to see what people suggest.

A friend of mine has a dark navy room. When she told me about it while decorating I thought she was bonkers, but it really turned out to be a lovely and chic room.

It's just paint, not a large commitment. If you don't like it you can paint over it.

I know this is the opposite way around but teal is nice with grey too! Go for it! It can always be painted over again.
