Sofa.com sofa in Prussian Blue Velvet?

Does anyone have a sofa in this shade? The colour is gorgeous but it seems to be picking up more lint than some of the other shades in velvet. Tips and advice welcome! Smile

It probably doesn’t pick up more lint but it just shows more.

Lovely colour and I’m tempted myself. I have dogs though.

You can use a throw but that might shed as well.

I imagine it just shows more because it's dark. Prussian blue is a gorgeous colour!

It’s the colour.

Gorgeous sofa mind

Flutterby63 · 19/12/2019 10:29

Yep it's the dark colour. I got some other blue and green shades and they don't show as much... but I'm in love with the Bluebell sofa in Prussian Blue. Dilemma!

If you don’t have light coloured dogs and your family are vaguely housetrained then buy it.

You can hoover it regularly and lint won’t be too bad.

I have a very dark velvet blue sofa and lots of natural light. It's always covered in dusty linty things.

Looks lovely when sorted.. I wouldn't buy another

@Flutterby63
You talk as if I clean regularly and thoroughly. Grin

No dogs or young kids but I want a low maintenance sofa and not sure this is

Damn!

Don't buy a velvet sofa with animals in house. It will be ruined

Flutterby63 · 19/12/2019 13:45

Sorry my last response was for @ChardonnaysDistantCousin.

No, definitely not low maintenance.

After much consideration I bought two beautiful dark blue velvet sofas from sofa.com ( delivered April this year) . I am really really fussy but can not recommend them enough ! They look stunning and the velvet makes them so comfortable. Yes there's a little bit of lint now and again but I enjoy plumping up the cushions and a quick hand wipe is all that's needed . I have two boys 6 and 9 and the sofas still look as good as new . So happy I bought velvet and from sofa.com( Izzy ones ) . Best sofas I've ever had !

Flutterby63 · 20/12/2019 19:36

Thank you! I'm too low maintenance for a quick wipe/hoover. I definitely want velvet sofas from Sofa.com (Bluebell) but am going to get a different colour. Very envious of your dark blue velvet though. Smile

Initially I had previously bought fabric sofas (from sofa com) instead of velvet and the feathers kept poking through and it left little white parts all over plus even though the same design they were not comfortable.. had to send them back and then went for velvet fabric and can honestly say still delighted, look amazing and a million times more comfy I think . Good luck it's so hard sofa shopping .

We just got two sofa.com sofas in sept, one in blush pink (risky with little ones in the house) and one in armour grey (actually a dark blue). Sure you need to plump but they look fab and we get lots of compliments on them. And we have dogs and cats. We’re quite strict children can’t eat or drink on them but honestly they look fab.
