What colour curtains would you choose?

We've just had our hall stairs and landing painted in a light peach colour (not my choice). Now I'm stuck on what colour curtains to buy. They need to be patterned as the wall are plain. What colour curtains would you go for?

Why do they need to be patterned?

I suppose they don't necessarily need to be patterned MiniGuinness. It was just a thought as all the walls are plain.

Maybe add texture instead of pattern? Or tartan? Bottle green?

I'd go cream and textured.
