Decor for apartment about to be let?

Have acquired a light and airy 2 bedroomed apartment ( modern) which I am freshening up before putting up for rent.

Was thinking a pale grey on walls with white Venetian blinds and grey flecked carpet.
However my decorator says he would go for magnolia every time as it is more neutral.
Which should it be and if magnolia what colour blinds and carpet? Do white blinds go with magnolia walls? I really don't like the idea of cream blinds to match magnolia, would seem really old fashioned.

Timeless paint by Dulux and blinds will be ok.
Some people dislike grey

I like your suggestion Grandadwasthatyou. Too many rentals are various forms of magnolia. It's very boring . Your suggestion would more in keeping with what people like .

Magnolia looks nicotine-y and dated. Go with pale grey and white.

Thank you all. Will go with my original gut feeling then!

we did polished pebble & white tenant loved it - its neutral but goes with everything. Get as tough a carpet as you can afford - perhaps slightly darker than you might for your place & flecked it good. Re blinds - we didn't do curtains or blinds - just very clean windows & replaced the white seal around window with a black one (so mould doesn't show/easier to clean etc) always think - how much will this cost to replace/repair & would tenant like their own style & therefore want to purchase their own & in the case of blinds: is there a safety issue, can it go wrong, how easy it is to damage, ditto to clean & is it likely to walk.

I just rented my flat out. The bedroom was in elephants breath & sitting room pointing (both F&B), which is similar to Dulux Timeless
I got 5 offers at asking price within a week, and the feedback was that people liked that it wasn't just white or magnolia. So ner to your decorator

I hate grey but there’s nothing more depressing and cheap looking than magnolia. Light grey all the way.
