Do these help with keeping warmth in

Don’t want my hard earned cash in the form of heat going straight out of the window until we can afford the double glazing.

Giving you a bump. I've got a blinds company coming round next week and we are looking at honeycomb blinds. Would like to hear from somebody that has them!

We have some in our utility room. It does seem warmer in there when we use them. They are neat and easy to use. The only downside is they look difficult to clean. I have so far dealt with this by ignoring them! Because they concertina up out of the way so well, they do keep clean when not in use.

That's great - thank you Mistress!

Are you planning on keeping them down during the day? Its difficult to get the balance right for light, warming bouts of sunshine, and keeping blinds down to keep the heat in. We went with blackout blinds along with venetian for during the day and together they are incredibly effective until daybreak.

Ours are for the kitchen so definitely down during the evening (instead of a wall of blackness which we have after 4.30pm at the moment!) - but up during the day.

Yay. Replies. Smile. Thanks this is very useful. I’d use them mostly at night but I guess occasionally daytime in very cold spells.
