Flooring dilemma

Help me figure out what to do please!

About 6 years ago we put new engineered wood throughout our downstairs: kitchen, hall, toilet, living room, conservatory (dining room).
I love that it it all the same as it it semi open plan.

Most of this flooring is still fine. Except the area around the breakfast bar has worn really badly from the stools and needs replacing. The downstairs toilet is also not great as we has a minor leak a few years back that took a while to spot.

Options:

  1. replace all the flooring throughout with something more resilient. What? Will be expensive and loads of hassle in terms of furniture moving,
  2. just replace the kitchen floor. Might look odd as connects to nearly all the other rooms.
  3. replace the flooring in one of the smaller rooms (conservatory/toilet) that is more out of the way and use the boards that we take up to patch the bad bits in the kitchen. Temporary solution?

Help!
