Making threebed semi spacious

My children and I will soon move into a three bed semi. There are four of us. I want to make it as clutter free and homely as possible but am worried aboyt storage and space. Any tips please

Reading with interest as mine is so cluttered and feels small

Do you have a garage?

A single high bookshelf close to the ceiling running around the hall, and / or the landing for books you want to keep or not read every day. You could put matching storage boxes up there too (on landing) for things like photos etc. It's an unused space generally.

My landing has never been unused!

Currently houses a cupboard, and in previous houses, another chest of drawers, or other storage items!
