Alright girls, I need your rug advice. I'm London based, got a 1 bed flat and need a rug to zhoosh it up. Any recommendations? Unfortunately not a member of the nobility and therefore unable to afford a Persian but looking for something in keeping with the rustic vibes I'm going for.

My style is a little trad, nothing too modern, a nice weave, a bit more styled than something you'd find in a office, but also not contrived vintage either where they deliberately fade and fray to make it look old...

Any suggestions?

A shaggy rug? Or a morrocon style?

Dunelm website - they do a lot of classic/traditional looking rugs for reasonable prices. Lots of different colours depending on what you like.

Any sale rooms or auction houses near you?

I’m not a member of the nobility either, and last weekend I got a lovely hand-knotted Persian rug at auction for £300. Similar rugs from Ikea are £1,200.

Have you look on the Wayfair website? They are good value.
