Can I just express my frustration at all the lovely posh fabric sites where everything is organised by (teeny pictures of) collections?

Being a complete luddite and/or philistine I just want to be able to sort by show me everything you do in ‘green’ or ‘red’ I’m not sure what I want her, I just know the colour I’m looking for!

Have you got something in mind? Zoffany is also nice, if you want a more traditional look. Designers Guild and Harlequin are my favourites.

Another vote for Designers Guild. They provide samples for 90p a pop, delivery is quick.
Romo also great. Their plain Linara FR is fab - hard wearing, so soft and comes in hundreds of colours.

Are you close enough to London for a trip to the Chelsea Design Centre?

You are very welcome! We don't live in the UK, but they have been brilliant re posting stuff to Europe.

If you are of a crafty nature I would highly recommend their pre-printed kits for dolls etc

Also if you find brands or patterns you like, check them out on ebay - can be much cheaper to buy them, especially if they are not brand new designes...
