Yes they're fine. Not very deep though. As in bum to knees when sitting down.

CapturedFairy · 29/09/2019 08:53

We had one for about 7 years in the children's playroom, it is very robust Grin

Didn't do a lot of cover removing but yes, relatively easy to remove and put back on. If it is somewhere prominent I would buy a second set of covers so that it isn't bare whilst you launder.

We have a corner sofa bed one and love it. Its lasted forever and ever and we've just replaced covers. Get the washable covers (one set we had wasnt Hmm).

We also had some made from an online company to fit in a fabric we liked when we werent keen on the ones they were offering. (They change!) Get a spare cover...

Best sofa bed, we happily sleep in it and the sofas lasted 2 kids.

We love it!

I bought two as a temporary measure 12 years ago and they are still going strong. Covers are easy to wash although I want to replace the sludge-coloured ones we ended up with.

We have one of the 2-seaters in the playroom/den. We've had it 10 years I think and I've washed the covers a few times and replaced them once (now dark grey). Quite easy to get on and off with a bit of wriggling.
But I have to say it's not that comfortable. I would have it in the main sitting room.

CallmeAngelina · 29/09/2019 09:09

Gah! "wouldn't" have it in the main room!

Not the erktop but we’ve had the Vimle since Jan this year. We have a teenager & preteen, so it’s use to some pounding! It’s still looking like new & the most comfiest sofa we’ve sat on, long enough to have a nap on too. Seats are deep enough to curl up on, I like to sit with my legs under me, iukwim.

Love ours. Washable covers make them easy to love with and I have winter and summer covers so I can change the "decor" on them.

For the money they're a steal. Easy to put up and very easy to live with

Had one 11 years, washed covers a couple of times started to shrink so last year chucked them and changed colours, first friends who saw them thought we had new sofas - no, not till the kids are toilet trained.

hairyheadphones · 12/10/2019 22:52

I have two, bought 5 years ago. They are very good value and are comfortable. I changed the covers a couple of months ago as I got fed up of the old colour, feels like new sofas!

slinkysaluki · 21/10/2019 19:57

I have two in the dark grey colour they are great, robust and the covers are really easy to get on and off and wash up well

norfolkskies · 25/10/2019 09:46

excellent! we like the dark grey, it`ll hide alot of sins lol! and the washable covers are a BIG perk! plus the thought of being able to change covers if i want to!

My other half bought one of these for his new house - I'm very glad I have spent some time sitting on it as won't be getting one for my house! Yes it's robust and the covers do wash nicely but I don't find it very comfortable!! He loves it though. He has the dark grey covers.

nearlynermal · 28/10/2019 11:15

Oh yes, Ektorp is a classic. I've had mine for about 10 years and know at least three other people who have them. Good value for money.

manteray · 01/11/2019 22:10

Love it.
