so...the given width... is that the width of the pole, or the width of one curtain , or the width of both curtains together with enough of a drape in them?

eg width says 167cms. My track (pole ) is around 120 from end to end.

I've always bought made to measure which is the track width plus 50% to give drape.

The width given is the width of each curtain panel - so a pack of curtains of 167 cm will contain 2 curtains each measuring 167 cm wide.

Normal widths in ready made curtains are 112 cm, 167 cm and 228 cm. For your 120 cm pole you should choose 167 cm.

You are supposed to pick the curtain width nearest to the length of your curtain pole. This then means that the two curtains together provide enough material to cover your window adequately and to provide a decent gather.
