What to do with the kitchen?

Moving into a housing association property soon and looking for ideas to spruce the kitchen up? Obviously going to paint but the cupboards and side boards need something, and maybe the tiles? Some paint?

Are you allowed to change the door handles?
I'd pick a nice floor you like and go from there

I'd have a look at changing the doors - can be done very cheaply eg. B&Q all on sale at the minute, alternatively you may be able to prime and paint them depending on the current finish.
Flooring - maybe something vibrant like a bright rubber flooring?

Or a vinyl floor that you can lay yourself. We got some for a bathroom, cost £30 and took an hour to cut, lay and silicone the edges
