Hallway with no light

I move into a traditional tenement flat soon. Other than light from the two external rooms (bedroom and living room), the hallway gets no natural light. The rest of the flat will be soft nature-y vibes but I'm stuck on a hallway colour as I want it to be bright and welcoming! Any suggestions? Cheers.

Mine is similar with no natural light. I've painted it yellow and it has brightened it up so much! I've also put a standing lamp which I pop on as soon as I come in and it looks lovely now.

I would go for white.

My current house had his scenario which is just how it was, we were all just used to the darkness...until we changed the front door. It has honestly changed our lives, not to mention cut our electricity bill! Would that be an option? It's not cheap but the difference it can make is staggering...

Lighting and mirrors and of course a light coloured paint. not yellow as I hate my yellow bedroom

Put a low-energy warm white bulb in the lamp so its cheap to run and put it on a timer so its always on when you're home.

We did yellow and oh my goodness it made it feel dark. How a bright colour can do that is beyond me but it did. We ended up covering it over with a neutral cream with grey tones and it was so much lighter with light grey marble tiles. I say avoid yellow! Currently our hallway is yellow (we've not yet decorated) but it's large enough to be okay with 2 windows.
