Any recommendations for an online company or high street one that makes good quality and reasonably priced curtains and / or blinds .Bought blinds years ago from Blinds 2 go and they were ok but not brilliant

We got good blinds and curtains from local businesses - I think this is a niche which isn't dominated by chains. So I reckon you need to ask locally for recommendations, or give a clue where you live.
