Autumnal

I love having a cosy cute house for autumn.

I'm looking for ideas of what you do in your home to make it feel a bit cosy and autumnal.

Do you add decor? Different flowers? Add in any new scents for this time of year? - I know I'm early but I'm a bit ill and cold and lying on the couch feeling sorry for myself today so I'm cheering myself up with cosy thoughts

I've got some extra blankets and throws and a change of rug for the lounge.
Considering a little wreath on the door.
I've seen people using cinnamon sticks around the house but that feels a bit more christmassy!

A wreath would be a bit too Christmassy for my taste but I just love pine cones in a wooden bowl and corn dollies hanging in the kitchen.

I think the quality of the light and trees turning are what make it autumnal. Very American to put a wreath up at any time other than Christmas. Pumpkin spice everything is everywhere in the US in Autumn.

Lived in US when teenager for a year.

I now put up an autumnal wreath in orange hues, add knitted and glass pumpkins to sideboards, have fake candles that come on when it gets dark automatically, pumpkin type scents, add autumn cushions to kitchen, have bowls of conkers, pine cones and acorns around.

Plant orange pansies in pots outside the front door.

I like to celebrate the seasons. And I love autumn.
