Ok need a new bed. Have a white upholstered one at present. Very plain/ architectural. It's faired well over the past 12 years, five with kids but we need a new bigger one !
So the room is 4 m by 4 m. Double doors with Juliette balcony so lots of light and greenery from garden. We've extended into the loft so roof is sloping 6ft at the end where the bed will go (so no four posters) rising to nearly double height. Only furniture is very plain white bedside tables and (currently) white wardrobes running along the wall facing the bed. Room is painted white.
So I like plane, simple and bright. What I was thinking was a bright yellow upholstered bed? We'd need a super king.
Is this crazy ? I am really drawn to a bright pop of colour. Our experience with our sofa is that fabrics are a lot more stain resistant (and our white bed which has no stain guard has faired OK). Questions:
Are we crazy?
If not, what colour/ style bed?
Would it look better if we got a "thinner" bed (ie without built in storage ?
Any other ideas ?
