Looking to replace distinctly 80s looking fireplaces and surrounds/ mantels x 2. 1930s build with chimneys but would be looking at fake fire/ empty grate type affairs. Probably not a wood burner.

Not sure where to start! Can anyone recommend any companies please? I quite like the traditional look but with a modern take. Clean lines not fussy design. Not sure about wood or stone effect.

Is there anything I need to consider other than price and size/ design?! I would like any company to install as well.

We're in north Birmingham.

Thanks

We got rid of our fireplaces entirely! Best thing we ever did. We didn’t use them for heat and now we have so much more room!

I agree fireplaces look very dated now in my opinion. Saying that though (and going against everything I said) I absolutely love the 30s era and would be getting an art deco fireplace in there straight away! Anything else and I'd knock it out.

They put a fake fireplace in our new build in that faux Roman ?? sort of style they seem to do in a lot of new builds (whyyyy?) and it looked so out of place so just ripped it out.
