Inchrya Blue or a dark green - will I regret??

Tempted to paint our large, west facing bedroom in one of these colours. We have off white shutters, white wardrobes, white painted floorboards, and Wimborne white walls. It's all very neutral and quite calming.

However, we live on a fairly busy road, my aim of creating a neutral sanctuary has left it feeling a bit cold, and I have been toying with the idea of going darker.

We're no strangers to bold colours, oval room blue kitchen, and navy carpets on stairs, but I'm wondering if the dark will make it feel more like a living room rather than a bedroom?!

Has anyone used inchrya blue or a dark racing/forest green in their bedroom? Ceilings are high, nice cornices etc.

TIA!

We’ve just gone for Royal Navy in our living room and love it, but wouldn’t want it in the bedroom as I think it would close it in - even though we’ve got high ceilings and big windows.

Instead I’m toying with teal shades - am thinking of a wallpaper with teal tones in it, dark teal linen bedding, velvet teal chaise, with maybe an off white on the woodwork. So the dark colour will be accents, rather than the whole, iyswim?

Yep I was thinking of just one wall, behind the bed, or the alcove walls where we've floating shelving.....

Inchrya blue is a sort of teal...

I went Stiffkey which is similar.

To be honest it is very dark! I think it works with high ceilings and white furniture. But definitely test - stiffkey feels much bluer than I though it would be because I tested small patches rather than a big block.

Same as pp, we tested Stiffkey for living room, but was too dark for the space, and Inchyra was too grey.

I’m discovering that teal isn’t just one shade! The one I’m going for is greener than blue - and teal wallpaper will be going in alcoves on either side of the bed and facing wall (I think...)

Have you downloaded the Dulux paint app, btw? That’s helped us hugely, in having a picture of a room and trying different shades on it.

No but I love the sound of it.
Allow me to show you my hall.

Our bedroom is inchyra blue - I love it. We have a lot of white furniture, shutters etc. too. Very cosy and calming.

Oh, I lie - it's oval blue!! Which is lighter. Still love it though Smile
