Sling bookcase- how many books?

Hi, I need some book storage for my 18mo and was looking at the GLTC sling bookcases in their sale. DH thinks they won't fit many books in though. Anyone who's got one how many books can you get in? I don't mind if some are "hidden" behind others as I can rotate them. Thanks.

I've not got one but bumping in the hope someone who does will come along!

If it would work as an alternative OP, I can fully recommend using the picture ledges from Ikea as book shelves if you're short on space - we have two in DS's room and he can easily reach the books and choose which one he wants.

Thanks for the bump! I can't use picture ledge as we live in a 500year old beamed cottage with serious sloping walls in the bedrooms, not a flat wall in sight Grin

We’ve got a sling bookcase that ran hold about 30-40 picture books.
I don’t put board book in there. I use an Ikea kallax as a tv stand in our living room which is good for book and toy storage.

More than you'd think! We had 2 slings and could prob get up to about 25ish. You can get them about 3 deep.

Any more than that and it's too much for a small child to process anyway. I had a separate basket for extra books (that could be flicked through like in a record shop) and swapped them in and out. The point of the sling bookcase is to present a selection to your child, not storage for every book they own, in my view.
