Blinds for French doors

I want to get blinds for our french doors but am unsure which way to go. Vertical blinds seem to be recommended but they look a bit 90s to me.

I prefer wooden Venetian blinds but not sure how practical they are. The doors open onto our garden and we have a ddog going in and out in all weathers so they need to be fairly sturdy and easy to clean.

What do other people do? Any advice?

We found perfect fit / intu blinds. Many small companies now do these. Not the cheapest, but best for doors.

We ended up with a really good choice of finishes, including wooden, but ended up choosing a metallic Venetian blind as the light bounces off them.

The blinds are fitted to the glazing, rather than the surround, so don't move about when door or window is open.

Only downside I've found is when cleaning the inside of the window as I can't always get the blind up far enough.

If it’s french doors you can fit them to the edge (on the wood) so they open with the door. Hate vertical blinds as every office I’ve been in has them.
