Shutter blinds

Hi, I'm considering getting Shutter blinds. I'm concerned that they'll darken the rooms. Any advise please before I purchase. TIA x

Do you mean normal wooden shutters?
If so then I think they do darken the house, my neighbour has them in an identical house to me and they look lovely but her house is darker than mine.
I opted for chunky wooden venetian blinds. Still look nice but the slats are fine than shutters and there is less framework than shutters but they give a similar look.

How do you reply to comments on your posts. I feel so rude. Getting advice and can't answer. 🙈

I too have shutter blinds. I really like them. They feel more substantial than a 50mm white wooden venetian blind I have in another room. The 6ft one I have was very heavy to install 😂

I don't always like the look of shutters on certain types/periods of homes.
