I bought this ottoman today but it looked a lot more light greeny blue than grey in the shop but when I got it home I’m not sure if it’s too similar to the sofa or if they go or not

They don't NOT go but I wouldn't put them together. If it was me, I'd like either
a. The exact same as the sofa
B. totally contrasting colour on the footstool or else
C. a pattern in similar colour to the sofa.

No sorry I’d move it to another place or return
