Help - blue or white?

I am redecorating my living room. The walls are Dulux denim drift with one wall of white and silver wallpaper.

I am just doing the recess under the stairs and can't decide whether to do the ceiling white and the walls blue, or the whole thing white. The wall around it is blue.

What would you do?

Do you have a pic of the area? Based on how I imagine it would look, I'd have the wall blue.
