Kitchen - Budget & ideas please?

I'm moving in shortly and the kitchen is very dated and needs a revamp but I don't have much capital to put into it. The other problem is that it's very small so I'm limited that way too.

The glass doored cabinets need taken away to open up the space - I don't like that at all.

But the rest of it... should I paint doors and retile? Should I remove those cupboards under glass doored cupboards to make the room more open planned but lose that storage? (Would need floor redone then too).

Any ideas would be appreciated. What I would like and what I can afford do not match 🤣

I would remove the floating cupboards but be aware that removing the supporting leg between the work top and the bottom of those cupboards could cause damage to the work top. Some supporting legs are drilled/screwed in whereas others are spring loaded and cause no damage.
If budget is currently an issue then I would suggest living with it for a while to get a feel for how the layout works (or doesn't work) for you. When you do have the funds to renovate the kitchen you'll then have a better idea of what you want/need.
Personally I agree with you - I don't like breakfast bar/storage across the kitchen - it always makes the room look cramped but if storage is an issue you may have to compromise.
