1930s, windows up to the ceiling. Will need to Barton over the top of the window frames I guess..
Can't continue with a pole over the bay. It's taking up way way too much room in our bedroom.

Not the cheapest but best value in terms of quality..

Will be so pleased for some suggestions 😊😊

I think I'd look for an independent fitter and buy the blinds from John Lewis or Dunelm. They have a huge range of fabrics.

You have a few options;

  • Roman blinds or other fabric blinds - I'd look for a skilled local blind & curtain maker.
  • Venetian blinds - we got ours from blinds2go, our bay came to about £200 in total for white wood Venetian blinds with tapes.
  • a made to measure bay pole (if you still like curtains) - again, your local independent curtain maker can usually order these. They aren't cheap but should last a couple of decades.

Whatever you do, don't order from Pret a Vivre. Been left out of pocket and although pre sales customer service was great, post sales - they don't give a rats ass! Have now multiple problems (Roman blind not folding properly, wrong bracket length, other blinds at wrong heights) and an inbox full of excuses. They blankpoint even refuse to come and have a look at their fitters'/measurer's clumsy attempt, without charging extra. And I have sent them pictures and videos of the blinds not performing. Still have the other half of the house to do but will make sure to steer away.
