Paint or paper

I’m redecorating my front living room. It’s a large room with high ceilings and a large bay window and can’t choose between navy blue or a dark green paint or William Morris wallpaper I’m wary the dark green could date quickly (though know it’s a period colour) but navy seems too safe an option. Has anyone got similar? Thanks!

What are the walls like now? Wallpaper covers the imperfections

The walls are ok - only room in the house that they are ok though!.
There’s wallpaper on one wall which will need to be stripped whether I paint or paper.
