How the hell do you use these curtain hooks?

I know this must be simple but my brain is frazzled.

I have pencil pleats but they just look untidy and wrong

They work just like normal curtain hooks, insert and rotate upside down, except each of the prongs goes through a different part of the header tape. Like each prong goes in its own slot

I don't know but from looking I would guess you insert the point part into the curtain tape and then hook the 'loop' part over the curtain track part that looks like this:

@Fluffycloudland77 Pencil pleat and pinch pleat curtains are two completely different ways of hanging/styling curtains. The John Lewis hooks you have linked to are for pinch pleat curtains, not pencil pleats. That may be where you're going wrong.

Those are pinch pleat curtain hooks. If you have pencil pleat curtain, they are not the hooks for you. You need just regular pinch pleat curtain hooks, ones with single prongs.

Thank you, I was hoping to get the pencil pleats to look tidier, dh remembers using pencil pleat holders but this is 20 years ago with his exp.

Yes, they are the wrong type of hooks for pencil pleat curtains.

They are up now, funny how much better they look on the poles I said we should have used in the first place and not the tracks we’ve had up for three years looking shite . I’m never using pencil pleat curtains again as long as I live. Dh is keeping the shitty tracks “in case” 🤦🏻‍♀️

I just need curtain weights now.
