Roof Lantern?

Does anyone have a lantern roof and a south facing garden? We are looking at extending, but worried about over heating in the summer. If you do, do you use reflective glass and does it work? We will also have 6m of bi folds along the back, so a lot of glass!

We have one and I love it, so far it's been ok but we obviously haven't had days and Days of hot weather yet.

We have them in both our South facing rooms. They don't have reflective glass. We don't find they cause any heat issues (although we don't have bifolds too just French doors and a separate large window). We do have a tv on the wall which is hard to watch at certain times of the day because of the glare. You can get motorised blinds for roof flights.
